We are going through a bagel phase in our family. Loving them for breakfast, smothered in homemade flavored cream cheese. My personal favorite is the chocolate chip cream cheese: finely chop a small handful of chocolate chips (a little goes a long way. I usually chop enough at one time to make 3 batches) in your food processer, then blend with 8 oz lowfat cream cheese and a heaping tablespoon of powdered sugar.


The younger set prefers cinnamon cream cheese on mini brown sugar cinnamon bagels. For this we whipped together 8 oz lowfat cream cheese with a teaspoon cinnamon and a tablespoon brown sugar. (more or less)

We’ve also made strawberry cream cheese with 2 chopped berries and a heaping tablespoon powdered sugar. Delightful and so easy.
